Incoming MTM Actions

This document outlines the API to send PioneerRx MTM actions to associate with patients in PioneerRx.

Technology partners can implement a web method and or FTP data file as described below for PioneerRx to consume.

MTM (Medication Therapy Management) Actions are the preferred method within PioneerRx to manage and document patient care related activities. MTM actions have a status, due date and a completed date.

It is envisioned that this interface will be used to notify PioneerRx users of work to be performed e.g. “call patient by X date” by submitting open MTM actions with a due date, and to notify of work already performed e.g. “performed therapy review with patient” by submitting completed MTM actions.

Incoming MTM Actions Extension

This is an extension of the Incoming MTM Actions API. In that specification, an optional ActionURL can be provided. If provided, a single-sign on process can be used to sign on PioneerRx users automatically into the Vendor’s systems.

Patient Data Exchange

This outlines the API to send PioneerRx patient data to vendor system for onboarding as well as updates and to receive data from vendor system to update PioneerRx patients.

Patient Data Exchange Extension

This is an extension of the PatientDataExchange API. In that specification, an optional profile_url can be provided. If provided, a single-sign on process can be used to sign on PioneerRx users automatically into the Vendor’s systems.

POS Universal

The following API documentation is meant for third party Point Of Sale (POS) applications to interact with the PioneerRx Pharmacy System. It is split into 2 main functions: RxQuery and RxComplete.

RxQuery allows the third party to query for Rx information about a patient and/or linked patients.

RxComplete is called by the third party to indicate when an Rx is actually sold to a patient along with various pieces of data used to update the PioneerRx Pharmacy System.

Rx Event

PioneerRx has the ability to turn on a Real Time Prescription Universal API service. This service will transmit in real-time or near real-time details about a prescription and related data based on specific events within the system. These events are customizable and one or more can be selected to transmit to a third party setup to receive the data.

These api documents are not meant to be given to users (ie, pharmacies). The most appropriate solution for them, is to use the PioneerRx Support Request features we have to ask for assistance.

If not contacted in the appropriate ways, persons may have to wait longer than necessary as requests then have to be internally re-routed at PioneerRx.
